Everything you need to know about GrantSkyNet. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us.
GrantSkyNet is an AI-powered platform that helps organizations find, analyze, and apply for federal grant opportunities. It searches Grants.gov, scores opportunities against your organization profile, generates application-ready content, and tracks your applications through submission — all in one tool.
No. GrantSkyNet is designed for both experienced grant professionals and organizations new to federal funding. The platform walks you through setting up your organization profile, explains match scores, and generates structured application content that follows standard federal formatting. If you have a SAM.gov registration and an eligible organization, you can get started.
You do not need a SAM.gov registration to search for and analyze opportunities on GrantSkyNet. We pull data from the public Grants.gov API. However, to actually submit applications and receive federal grants, your organization must be registered in SAM.gov with an active UEI (Unique Entity Identifier). Registration is free and takes 2-4 weeks, so we recommend starting early.
After signing up, the platform will prompt you to create your organization profile. You can enter your information manually — including ALN numbers, eligible applicant types, services, and prior grant experience — or auto-import your profile from your organization website URL. The more complete your profile, the more accurate your match scores and generated applications will be.
Every opportunity in GrantSkyNet comes directly from the Grants.gov API, the official federal grant data source. This is the same data available on Grants.gov, accessed through their public API in real time.
When you search for opportunities, GrantSkyNet evaluates each result against your organization profile using seven signals: ALN alignment, applicant type eligibility, funding category match, prior grant experience relevance, award range fit, capabilities match, and deadline proximity. Each opportunity receives a composite score so you can quickly see which ones are worth pursuing.
Opportunities are fetched from Grants.gov in real time when you search. Search results are cached for four hours to improve performance on repeat queries. For the most up-to-date information on any specific opportunity, you can click through to the full listing on Grants.gov directly from the search results.
The application tracker lets you save opportunities you are interested in and track them through the application process. Deadline alerts notify you when applications are due within seven days. Saved search alerts with email notifications are on our roadmap for a future release.
GrantSkyNet uses Claude by Anthropic, a leading AI model known for its strong performance with complex, structured content. Application generation (executive summaries, capacity statements, narratives, etc.) is powered by Claude Sonnet. Compliance scoring and matrix generation use Claude Haiku for fast, accurate analysis. Your data is processed through Anthropic's commercial API and is never used to train their models.
GrantSkyNet generates six types of application content: executive summaries, capacity statements, prior experience narratives, cover letters, partner outreach / MOU letters, and program officer questions. It also generates compliance matrices that map NOFO requirements to your capabilities. Each output is tailored to the specific opportunity and your organization profile.
Absolutely. Every piece of generated content is fully editable. You can make direct edits in the built-in editor, or use the AI rewrite feature to give natural-language instructions like "make it more data-driven" or "emphasize our measurable outcomes." The AI rewrites the section while preserving context. Generated content is always a starting point — you should review and refine everything before submission.
Yes. You can export any generated content as a Word document or PDF, ready for submission or team review.
The AI produces high-quality first drafts that follow standard federal grant application formatting and incorporate your organization profile details. However, AI-generated content should always be reviewed by a human before submission. The AI may occasionally make assumptions, miss nuances in the NOFO, or produce content that needs domain-specific refinement. Think of it as a skilled first draft that needs your expert review.
